The health and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers and members is our top priority. As a designated essential service, we recognize the importance of the continued operation of the laundry service to our members and commercial clients. In response to the coronavirus pandemic, we have made the following changes
While we recognize that physical distancing imposes limits on our members being able to drop by and chat with Yaneth, we wanted to let you know she is available to talk by phone or video chat. Yaneth is in the office from Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. You can reach Yaneth at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 613-244-4524.
We are open from Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 4:30 pm for members to do their laundry. Members need to book in advance and we are limiting service to one member/family every 60 minutes to ensure proper physical distancing. During this window, the member can launder up to 7 loads of laundry. This separation ensures the safety of our staff and members. There are six (6) bookings per day and the last booking is at 3:00 pm. Please contact Yaneth at email@example.com or call us at 613-244-4524.
For your safety and the safety of our staff, we ask that all members please wear a cloth mask when visiting the laundry. If you do not have one, please let us know before you visit.
Wash & Fold Social Enterprise
Our wash & fold social enterprise continues to operate although at reduced hour and capacity. We have reserved Friday and when required Thursday afternoon for our wash and fold service although laundry can be dropped off and picked up during the week. Our pick up and delivery service continues. To inquire about our wash & fold service or to make a booking, please contact Len at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 613-222-9600
We Need Your Help
For over 20 years, The Community Laundry Coop has always responded to our members and neighbourhood needs and we have only been able to do that with your support. COVID 19 with its physical distancing, isolation and economic impacts affects low-income and vulnerable individuals and families most. Many people face unpaid leave, children are isolated and out of school and for those new to Canada, the isolation has even stronger impacts. We are struggling to support our members and wider neighbourhood and will do whatever we can with the resources at hand. Clean clothes are one way for people to keep their dignity and maintain some normalcy in these disruptive times. We appreciate your support during this complex and evolving time. We thank you for your patience and look forward to being back up running with normal hours and operation. In the meantime, stay safe and stay healthy.
